Doing okay
Sort of. Apparently my medication didn't work on the lower dose. Still undiagnosed and I'm now wondering if I should switch doctors.

As for the other thing... well. You think you're gonna be fine and then something hits you again. I think... no, I KNOW I will be fine. But right now that seems so far away. I guess I'll just have to be patient.

Heads up, however... I'm going to try a pop-under campaign. My financial situation, while not desperate, is certainly going to change and I have to think of the future. Please be patient... CRFH will return Monday or Tuesday, for sures. Thank you very much for your generous donations and your emails of support. I love you all and I don't know what I'd do without you guys. I mean it.

Things take time... and it is really rough. My boyfriends mother is going through the same thing right now... She just found out Friday. I really wish I knew what to say to both of you, but I simply don't. Just know, it will get better, and you will find yourself in a spot where it doesn't hurt as much, and you will be happy again. Just try to find the joy in your daughter, and your family. And don't be afraid to open up to them and let them be there for you.

If you have a decent lawyer, i'd expect your financial situation to improve, actually, unless this guy is the type to disappear and work cash jobs for the next 16 years or so. Good luck.

I agree with this!! He was the one cheating, any lawyer can get you cash for that!

In Mexico? New law dismisses cheating as a crime, since it had to be proven in site and with public scandal. And as far as I remember, no one has ever got any money for a divorce in my home country.

Sometimes it's good we're not lawsuit-happy like the US, sometimes it's not.

How can cheating not be a crime? I mean, the vows pretty much say it's a no-no... that's really terrible that a guy can get away with that crap. Besides, even there's always child support. With him being an adulterer, he's not going to get custody.

Well, there's a legal marriage and a religious one. They are not the same in Mexico. So, whatever vows you made, they are independent from law. It stopped being a crime because there was no way to prove it in the way the law required.

I think the guy deserves to die (I've been in the receiving end of a cheater). However, child support in Mexico is even a sadder area. And custody must be shared among the parents unless she proves he's not supporting the child. The worst settlement for a divorce I saw was 300 USD per month. Men can easily get away from it.

It's a sad country. Not that I'm actually happy about ever having a relationship in the US (I'm scared as it is).

Hopefully the guy is stupid enough to get a lousy lawyer and Maritza has enough connections to get a large settlement from him. That could take 2 years though.

I enjoy being a mexican in the US, the contrasts are astonishing sometimes.

sheez... no wonder so many people are trying to move here... my stepfather's neice does immigration law and my mother wasn't born here in America, so I've learned to appreshiate people who come here legally. I'm sorry you were on the receiving end of being cheated on :( *hug*

Well, lots of people here in WA don't like immigrants, legal or not. But that's a chat for another time (:

Thanks for the hug! She stayed in Mexico so I'm free of her malignant aura of seduction now :)

I've never posted here before because I'm more than a bit too ... private? paranoid? psychotic? ... who knows (the shadow knows). Ahem. Anyway, hun, I've been reading, regularly (not OCD, but from my daily checking you'd think I was) CFRH since before my daughter was born in March 2000, just before, actually. And I wouldn't post now, except with what's going on I need to send to send this...

.....because your problem is staying in that basket until either you get better..... and I'm not going to say what the other thing is. You don't need to get more depressed than you are now.

Hey, if you need a little pick-me-up, go over to Mary Engelbreit's site and go through it. Some really nice ideas as well as beautiful artwork to give your day a boost. ;> I've been getting her mag for years now, and it always brightens my day when it arrives in the mail.
