Now with 30 per cent less freaking out
Finally, I have found some kind of weird balance. I have more practice now with the simple tasks that make the life of a mommy, so I can do them faster... but time's still impossibly tight. At least, I have managed to start making comics again. So far I have 11 strips pencilled, along with the other thing I'm making. I aim to finish that by Monday, hopefully. I also want to make at least another ten comics before CRFH comes back. That way I'll have a month buffer. Hopefully I'll be able to figure out how to make time for the comics by then.

So far, the expected date for my return is the third week of August. We'll see...

Glad to hear you're finding some sort of balance. From what I've seen, it's not an easy thing.

How's little Nadia doing?

DOH... I forgot to mail the thing I have for you. ^^;;

Glad things are progressing as normal. Eventually you'll have task-juggling and such down to a fine art and science. Your readers are generally the understanding sort, tho. Between now and then, take all the time and little breaks that you need to keep your head on. We'll survive. And i doubt there'll ever be a dearth of guest strips/drawings to fill the gaps.
How are you enjoying motherhood, by the by?

I remember getting into the grove. It took a while.

Now I've just learned that despite years of being told I couldn't have kids without assistance, I'm pregnant again. I'll have to learn the grove while taking care of an 18 month (or so)old. This shall be interesting.

Slow and steady, but this is just how things go. Hope your family and you are just having a blast learning to live with each other.

Hola Erik! Me preguntaba donde andabas y que estabas haciendo...

Claro que sí, me encantaría. El único requisito es que sean PG-13 y de preferencia no más anchas que 750 pixeles. Muchas gracias de antemano... tienes mi email?

Yay! She found her groove pretty early, to allow you time already. That's wonderful.
We can wait for the comic, but as a fellow Mother-At-Arms, I wouldn't mind hearing more from ya:)

"Mother-At-Arms" brings to mind a delightful mental image of a unit of nursing mothers in chainmail, with polearms. Possibly with castle.

Heh. For some reason, this makes me think of that one guard from Emperors New Groove going
"I'm sorry, but you've thrown off The Goddess's Groove."
before throwing someone out the window.

I would rather have you back on a three day a week schedule doing quality work than a five day a week schedule if time is as tight as you say. The wee one deserves a mother not overworked and stressed (and your readership would prefer you happier that way as well). But in the end it's your decision as to what you can swing. Just remember your readership, at least the part worth paying attention to is kind and tolerant of a new mother's schedule.
